If you get your email service through your cable company, you can probably access it from an computer connected to the internet. You will need to know the user ID and password.

Each folder contains a list of emails
- An indication of whether you have seen the email
- The Sender
- The Subject
- The timestamp for each email is shown

- Attachments are indicated
- Emails can be sorted by any of the fields.
- By default, email is sorted by timestamp
Actions you can take on each email that is checked
- Delete - normally moves it to Trash
- Spam - tell email provider you think the email is spam.
- Mark - mark seen or unseen or flag
- Move - to another folder
- Navigation links - First, Previous, Next, Last

Email Exercises
- Compose and email addressed to your email account.
- Attach a file containing a picture.
- Attach a file (text, document, or presentation).
- View the received file. Look for attachment indicator and size of file.
- View the attachments.
- Add a contact to your address book.
Printing Email
The email browser screen is pretty busy. Most progams have a "Print" button. This opens a new window displaying only the actual mail. Print this window.

Is it safe to open emails?
- Yes - if you use reasonable caution
- Spam - simply unwanted email: annoying - not dangerous
- Your email provider will identify 99% of incoming spam.
- Don't respond to the "Click here if you don't want to receive future emails" from sites you don't trust - . they will let other spam sites know about you.
